My Story

I started baking with my mom at a young age. It was that quality time together that helped with my passion for sweets. After years of baking for people for fun, my mom recommended leaving accounting and going to culinary school. “What a good idea,” was my response, my parents had just retired to Las Vegas and they had just opened a school. So with their support, I was lucky enough to be a part of one of the first groups of students at Le Cordon Bleu in Las Vegas and be classically trained by a French pastry chef.

At the end of my training, we found out my mom had cancer. Sadly, she passed away very quickly afterwards. I ended up going back into the accounting field to help my dad through those tougher times. I still baked for people and events through the years. I realized it truly is a passion of mine. After my dad passed away 15 years after my mom, I decided to start fresh. I sold my house and boxed up my life to move across the country to Florida and the beach.

After moving to Florida, I started baking for friends and co-workers. A co-worker told me that I needed to open my own business. The idea has always been a pipe dream of mine. After a lot of thinking about the rest of my life, I decided to follow the advice I gave my niece: do something you love and it never seems like work. So, the process started. I started with people taste testing all different products, putting together a good list of what works and what is a little off. I got a business license and now have a good start to this next chapter of my life.
